This ceremonial console sets the geometric rigour of its top against the fluidity of its base. The massive upper block is divided into three symmetrical panels separated by fine fillets. Three polished brass spheres sit between top and base, opening an architectural void: the top appears to float. The sculptural base, with its pronounced curves, is joined by a gently shaped stretcher that softens the severity of the top.

Care

Dust with a soft dry cloth. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources, which make timber move. A colourless cabinetmaker's wax, twice a year, is enough to feed the finish. No silicone products, and no water on veneers or marquetry.
